Visiting the Nurse
The Homerton College nurse is a great first port of call for any minor ailments. The nurse, Sandy Chambers, maintains a surgery on the first floor of West House. She can offer advice and support on a wide range of physical and psychological ailments. She can also offer a number of over-the-counter remedies as well as referrals if needed.

Her surgery hours are as follows:
Monday: 9.45am – 1.00pm
Tuesday: 9.45am – 1.00pm and 2.15pm – 5.45pm
Thursday: 2.15pm – 5.45pm
Friday: 9.45am – 1.00pm
For any urgent or serious medical maladies please see your GP. All full-time students at the University of Cambridge are covered by the National Health Service (NHS). It is important to register with a GP upon arrival in Cambridge in order to receive your medical benefits. Woodlands Surgery is the closest GP to Homerton College, with a location on Station Road, only a few minutes walk away.
If you are feeling particularly ill or get injured out-of-hours (ie. in the evenings or over the weekend) then Urgent Care Cambridgeshire is your best bet. They are based at Chesterton Hospital, Union Lane, and can be reached at 0330 123 9131. If you are very unwell and unable to visit their Emergency Centre, then a Doctor will be able to visit you in College.
For very urgent conditions (such as getting hit by a bus, etc.) then Addenbrooke’s is your closest Accident & Emergency.
For Dental Care, many students choose to visit the University Dental Service at 3 Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1QA.
